It has been a while since I have posted here on the blog, but this last month or so has been very busy! I will try to give a brief run down on what we have been doing around here. It all started the first weekend of June when we got news that George's father was rushed to the hospital in Dallas, Texas. They diagnosed him with having pneumonia, but as time went on and weeks past he was still not improving and was still in the hospital. Since his dad was not improving the decision was made to send a message to George and try to get him home to his dad.
George arrived in Dallas on the 18th and went directly to the hospital to be with his dad. Me and the kids left Colorado on the 19th and met up with George on the 20th. Wyatt was very excited to see his daddy & I was pretty excited too! We were able to stay with his grandma and go up to the hospital several times to see his dad. It was great to be together as a family, but at the same time a little sad because of the situation that brought us all together.
After we had been in Texas for about 10 days we decided to take the kids up to Lake Texoma for a little bit so Wyatt could play in the lake for a while.
We headed back to Colorado on July 1st, and it was so nice to get back home... It also happened to be the same day that George's dad was discharged from the hospital. He was in for a month and they did lots of tests. There was also a lot of waiting, which was very difficult.
We enjoyed our long weekend upon returning and didn't do too much here, since fireworks were banned but we enjoyed spending the day together.
