Sadly our fun times at Christmas and New years didn't last too long. As we got word right after the new year that George's dad (who had been battling cancer) had taken a turn for the worse and wouldn't be with us much longer. Of course, George went right up to see him while me & the kids stayed home until we knew what his condition actually was. It was the next day when he passed away. It was a very sad time for our family as we tried to explain to Wyatt where his pawpaw was and what had happened.
A few days later the whole family traveled up to Sherman to say our final good-bye to a great man. A man we all loved and would miss terribly. But we were comforted to know that he was in a much better place, free from all his pain and worries of this world and once again with his sweetheart.
