Downsizing

We have been living here in Texas for 6 months now. It has been quite a change for me! It is very different than any other place I have lived, but it is nice to be around family. When we came here we rented a home, before ever seeing it and luckily it was really nice and big! We got settled in and have enjoyed our time here... But the layout of this home is not ideal to our family situation. With the master bedroom being on the bottom floor and the 3 secondary bedrooms for the kids are on the top floor. I find I am going  up and down the stairs alot!!! And with the new baby coming soon, there is no way this will work, so..... We are moving!!

Our 1st house in Texas

We have decided it would be much better to live in a single level home and much easier on the mommy too!! Recently we found out that a family we know pretty well and are in the Army will be moving, so after talking to them and looking at their home, we have decided to rent their house. Only about a 1/2 mile from our current house so Wyatt won't have to change schools. So in May we are moving yet again!




With moving into a single level home we lose square footage, so downsizing is a must! We have had to sell some of our bigger pieces of furniture that just wouldn't fit in the new home.... like our kitchen table & chairs, our guest bed, Wyatt's bed and our refridgerator. Not to mention alot of little stuff that we just don't need to store or keep anymore. So it has been a busy time! We have found a great family to rent our current home too, which is nice since our landlords have been great about us moving and breaking our lease a few months early!


We got ourselves into a little problem when we sold Wyatt's bed faster than we thought we would and I had to scramble to find him a new one quick!! Lucky for us Craigslist solved our problem! I was able to find him a new, really cool bed that he just loves, but much smaller than his other one.... Now we just have to weed out some of his toys!

We still have about 2 months before we move and only 1 month before the baby is here- so we will stay busy! But hopefully we can get everything done and be very happy in our new home soon!
